Client: Movement Exchange, 2022-Present

www.movementexchanges.org

I was tasked with creating a tee shirt design for Movement Exchange, a non-profit organization that teaches dance to children in underserved communities around the world. Design needed to include the names of all the colleges involved, the colors already established by the organization’s branding, as well as the organization’s logo. I took inspiration from a video put out by Movement Exchange showing the volunteers as they are teaching. I wanted a fun image that indicated action as well as care of the child. Even though the final imagery is digital, I still like to start with drawings on paper (shown below, middle).

Client: David DeVary Fine Art, LLC, 2020-Present

My late father was contemporary Western artist, David DeVary, and in 2020, I inherited his business of selling his original paintings and art prints. With the intent to carry his legacy into future generations and find new venues for his work, we’ve developed quite a number of projects ranging from advertising in print publications, approaching interior decorators about his work and licensing, and starting a quarterly newsletter that I write and designed. For the newsletter, I had my dad’s signature as a vector file and from there, I took inspiration from his artwork to create a cohesive brand look that is fun and bold while showing off the images. In composing our newsletters, I strive to give collectors and admirers a view into who David was and how he came to paint and then to be a well-known artist! Here is a sampling of some of the design work I’ve done for the company and check out the website to see more of his work.

Client: Presenting Denver, 2018-2020

www.presentingdenver.org

I volunteered for a dance organization based in Denver, Colorado called Presenting Denver. The organization and its website serve as a hub for all things dance in the Denver metro area: a place to research and connect with other local dancers and choreographers; a database of dance and performance help (including videographers, teachers, and artist management); putting on performance opportunities for many different, local dance companies; organizing special evenings where new works are debuted for audience feedback. One of my main projects for the organization was creating several poster mailers to advertise the bi-annual dance festival held by Presenting Denver. These two are for the festivals held in 2018 and 2020.

Client: Enrou, 2015

For a time, I worked as a designer for a start-up called Enrou. It was a marketplace that sourced beautiful items like jewelry, clothing and home goods made by hand by people in developing communities around the world. Among other priorities like email campaign design, marketing material supervision and design, and product photo shoot planning and editing, I had the opportunity to design numerous illustrated icons featured across the company’s marketing, social and web components.

Etsy Shop, MyOwnDamnThing, ongoing

I sell items I design on Etsy, some of them being digital illustrations. Some of these designs are for wall art; several of these were printed on tee shirts; some of these designs currently live on greetings cards! See more by visiting my store
